REBECCA Energy Techhub, Inc - 501 (C)(3)

Empowering Innovation, Fueling Tomorrow

REBECCA Tech Hub is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on advancing energy innovation and economic development across Kentucky.

REBECCA has received a Strategy Development Grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), supporting our efforts to build a robust regional innovation ecosystem. This designation enables us to pursue a $75 million Tech Hub Implementation Award from the EDA.

In addition, REBECCA has been selected as a semifinalist in the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Regional Innovation Engines Program, which could provide up to $160 million in funding over the next 10 years.

We are currently developing both the NSF Engines full proposal and the EDA Implementation Proposal. These initiatives focus on infrastructure, applied research, and workforce development in the energy sector. Stakeholder meetings are ongoing as we shape the direction of the consortium.

REBECCA TechHub Named Semifinalist in the 2025 NSF Regional Innovation Engines Program

We are proud to announce that REBECCA TechHub has been selected as a semifinalist in the National Science Foundation’s 2025 Regional Innovation Engines program.

This national recognition highlights the strength of our vision to transform the region into a hub for innovation in Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, and Biomass and Carbon Utilization. It reflects the extraordinary collaboration among our consortium members, industry partners, academic institutions, and community leaders.

As we move forward to the next stage—a virtual site visit hosted by NSF later this month—we remain committed to building a future rooted in innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. The momentum is real—and this is just the beginning.
